I am a Clinical Psychologist Registrar at PPS, working with clients at both our North Perth and Falcon offices. I approach all sessions with an open mind, and a readiness to listen to what has brought you here and to discuss how we can best work together to meet your therapy goals. I strongly believe in the importance of looking at each person as a unique individual and tailoring the approach we take to best suit you. This is combined with using the most evidence-supported techniques for the challenges you may face, by using therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), metacognitive therapy, and mindfulness.
I take on a collaborative, warm, and non-judgemental approach to therapy with clients from all walks of life—from young children to older adults, and everyone in between. My interests include anxiety, depression, self-compassion, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, and stress. I also work with parents whose children are showing behavioural or emotional concerns. I have a particular interest in working with younger children, and completed my Master’s thesis on the prevention of anxiety and depression in 4- to 5-year-old children. I enjoy the creativity that working with this age group brings, and have seen the benefits that early intervention can bring for both the child and their family.
I am also able to conduct cognitive assessments for both adults and children, and can diagnose specific learning disorders, intellectual disability, and other learning problems.
I look forward to working with you; you can book an appointment with me in the North Perth or Falcon clinics.
