Philippa Turvey

Clinical Psychologist B.Psych (Hons), M.Psych (Clinical)

Today’s society presents many challenges which are often overwhelming. I am eager to hear what has brought you here, help you understand the thoughts and feelings that contribute to the maintenance of your symptoms, work collaboratively with you through your stresses, help you to overcome the barriers, and change behaviours that may be hindering your healing and resolution.

With a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and experience working in clinical, educational, welfare and hospital settings, I have worked across the lifespan with various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, stress, sleep problems and chronic pain. I also work with parents with children who are exhibiting challenging behaviours. I have a passion for diagnostic assessments and have undertaken specialist training in Autism Spectrum Disorder.  I conduct cognitive assessments for both adults and children and am able to diagnose specific learning disorders, intellectual disability, dyslexia and other learning issues.

My therapeutic approach primarily utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to formulate adaptive strategies that assist in improving your functioning and promoting your well-being.

I look forward to working with you at Perth Psychological Services; I’m available at both our North Perth and Falcon Clinics.
