I am a Clinical Psychologist Registrar at Perth Psychological Services and I work with clients in our Darwin branch (PPS Darwin). I have been interested in psychology and its application since I began studying psychology as part of my high school electives. I commenced my studies in Victoria and completed my Honors and Master’s degree (Clinical) in Darwin. Whilst I had a short term plan of staying in Darwin, the relaxed lifestyle and all year summer led to me creating a home here.
I have worked in a variety of settings since commencing my Master’s degree. These settings include private practice, Indigenous Social and Emotional Well-being and alcohol and drug rehabilitation. I work therapeutically with children, teenagers and adults on a range of issues that may be causing the individual discomfort or distress. Such issues include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, sexual health and mental health diagnosis or concerns. I have also completed specialist training in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder for individuals across the lifespan as part of my Master’s degree.
I appreciate learning about each person’s story and enjoy working to achieve therapeutic goals one wishes to attain. I primarily use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) but also draw from other approaches such as trauma-focused CBT, motivational interviewing and acceptance and commitment therapy.
You are welcome to book an appointment to explore ways that we can work together to enhance your well-being.
