I am a Clinical Psychologist and I work across our two PPS offices in Mandurah and Perth. I have worked in the mental health sector since 2008 and I have gained a diverse range of experiences working across schools, hospital and community settings, both in the UK and Australia. Prior to settling in Australia, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology (honours) at the University of Manchester and supported young people and adults, both deaf and hearing in a hospital setting. My passion for mental health continued when I relocated to Darwin in the Northern Territory where I worked for 6 years in the non-government sector providing psychosocial support to adults, early intervention support to children and their families, and mental health education and training to schools and communities in remote areas. I completed my Masters in Clinical Psychology at Charles Darwin University and undertook placements in the University Clinic, Government services and private practice.
As a clinician, I enjoy working with children, teenagers and adults with a wide range of mental health concerns. My interests include anxiety, self-esteem, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation and cognitive difficulties. I have a particular interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and I was fortunate to undertake specialist training ASD assessment whilst completing my studies. I am passionate about working collaboratively with clients to develop strategies to support your well-being. I adopt an open, warm and compassionate approach to therapy and use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing and mindfulness approaches.
